Vote below for the KSJC Athlete of the Month!
Alexis Aguilar (G.Soccer) – “Alexis was one of the main reasons why our team was able to win the PSAL Championship this year. She kept our goal safe throughout our season games. Alexis had 26 saves during the season and only received two goals. Apart from being fearless when blocking shots, Alexis also demonstrated great leadership while on the field by organizing our defense and helping them keep track of opposing players. Alexis has another year with us and I foresee great things to come from her on and off the field. Vote for Alexis as your KIPP San José Collegiate Athlete of the Month!”
Natalie Rodriguez (G. Basketball) – “Natalie has really stepped it up big for the Wolfpack this year as a first year high school basketball player. All year long, she worked hard to gain a spot as a starting sophomore and would play in the post at a height of 5’1″. She was able to do this because of her tenacity and unwillingness to be pushed around no matter who the opponent was. During the last game of the season, Natalie showed leadership not only through her play but her grit. She played the same way she always did: hard and unintimidated. Natalie has a bright future ahead of her in basketball and is going to be key moving forward with the program.” – Coach Dela Rosa
Cristo Rafael (B. Soccer) – “Cristo started 17/19 games for a varsity soccer team that won ten games in a season and advanced to the league championship game. In that game, he scored a game tying goal with 30 seconds left in regulation, and made a key last second tackle in overtime to send the game to PKs. He has played like he’s a seasoned veteran as opposed to someone new to the team. Please vote for Cristo!!!” – Coach McCormack
