Girls Varsity Cross Country · Varsity Girls Cross Country takes 3rd in their First League Meet


The Girls Cross Country Team took on the Crystal Springs Cross Country Course and ten other teams from their league on Thursday afternoon, in what turned out to be 91 degree weather.  This was the PSAL 1 meet, the first of 5 meets that will determine the league standings and whether or not the KSJC boys make it back to the CCS Finals for the third year in a row.  The team ran with a pack-like mentality as all 5 scoring runners placed within 7 places of one another and all in the top 21 runners.  Fantastic performances all around, but a standout performance for Maritza Pinedo in her first PSAL race leading the team with the best finish on the day and captain Jo Canales for stepping up big and finishing right behind her.  See all the results below:
