Wolfpack News · Ryan McCormack Awarded CSADA CCS Norm Mckenzie Rookie AD of the year

On April 6, the California State Athletic Director Association met in San Diego to celebrate accomplishments of excellent athletic directors across the state.  ADs from all over California were recognized for their achievement in planning, organization, vision-setting, and upholding the standards of sportsmanship and education-based athletics in their field.

This year, the Central Coast Section recognized Ryan McCormack as AD of the year for ADs in their first 4 years.  ADs from the section (which ranges from San Francisco all the way down to Salinas) nominated and voted him to represent them for this coveted award.  He received the award on Saturday which marks the first time an athletic director from our school to ever receive this honor.

Mr. McCormack had this to say about his award,

“It is an honor to be recognized by my fellow athletic directors.  It is a testament to the hard work of our coaches, parents, faculty, administration, and student-athletes to really emphasize our mission through our actions.  This recognition doesn’t happen without everyone in our community coming together and putting students at the focus of everything we do, so this award is really acknowledging all of our work over the last three and a half years.  I’m so proud to stand alongside our talented coaches and student-athletes, and thank everyone for their contributions.”

We appreciate and can’t begin to recognize all the work Coach McCormack has done at KIPP San Jose Collegiate and ADs in our state are doing so also!  Thank you for representing us in the brightest way!
