Girls Varsity Track · KSJC Girls Track & Field Takes 1st Place in the First Ever PSAL Invitational

The Private Schools Athletic League held the first ever league track meet in its history at the Independence High School Track on Saturday, April 27th.  The KSJC Girls Varsity Track & Field Team took home the overall team trophy, edging Latino College Prep for the league’s first ever track title.  The team saw several medal winning performances on the day.  The Girls 4 x 100m Relay team, featuring Samantha Aguila, Trina Ho, Marianne Cochola, and Aaliyah Mohammed, placed 2nd and took home the silver medal.  Joanna Canales then placed 3rd in the 1600m Run, and Aaliyah Mohammed took 2nd in the 100m Dash.  Kaitlyn Vu then took third in the 800m Run, followed by Samantha Aguila and Aaliyah Mohammed placing 1st and 2nd respectively in the 300m Hurdles.  Lucy Han then placed 2nd in the 3200m Run, and the KSJC 4 x 400m Relay team, featuring Jazmine Canales, Jess Pham, Madison Tlatenchi, and Joanna Canales placed 3rd.  In the field events, Claire Hsu placed 3rd in the Long Jump.  The KSJC girls swept the Triple Jump with Madison Tlatenchi taking 1st, Claire Hsu taking 2nd, and Kaitlyn Vu taking 3rd.  In the Discus, Daisy Carmona finished in 3rd place, and in the Shot Put, Celine De Villa took 3rd.  It was an amazing day for all the athletes involved!
