The KSJC Track & Field Team edged out Downtown College Prep to win the 2nd ever Private Schools Athletic League Track Invitational! It was truly a team effort across the board, but a few students had standout performances to help lead the team. In the track events, Kyle Kinard won the 110m Hurdles Race (21.19s), and placed 2nd in the 300m Hurdles (50.39s). Alan Casorla took 1st place in the 300m Hurdles (48.90s), becoming the first KSJC hurdler to break the 50s barrier in the race. Anthony Phung and Fabian Gonzalez took home medals in the distance events, with Phung securing 3rd in the 3200m (12:32.23) and Gonzalez taking home 3rd in the 800m (2:24.53). Kyle DePadua also medalled in the 200m, with a time of 25.08s.
In the field events, KSJC racked up a lot of points. Spencer Tang led the way with 2 medals, taking 2nd place in the Shot Put with a distance of 31-04.00 and 3rd in the Discus with a PR at 78-05.50. Ramon Valencia also medalled in the Shot Put with a PR of 31-04.00. Kyle DePadua finished 2nd in the Triple Jump with a distance of 37-00.00.
