Girls Varsity Track · Mohammed Medals in 4 Events, Girls Track & Field takes 2nd Place at PSAL 2

The KSJC Girls Track & Field Team competed against 8 other schools on Saturday, May 4th at the 2nd ever Private Schools Athletic League Track & Field Meet, and with a strong performance secured 2nd place on the day!  There were several standout performances, let by Aaliyah Mohammed who medalled in all 4 of the events she participated in!  Aaliyah placed 2nd in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m, 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles, securing 24 points for KSJC!  Senior Jo Canales set her personal record in the 3200m run, with a time of 14:56.13, which earned her second place.  Samantha Aguila also earned a medal in the 300m Hurdles, with a second place finish and a PR of 57.13s.  The 4x400m Relay Team, featuring Marianne Cochola, Jacqueline Huizar, Karla Porres, and Kaitlyn Vu) also took home 3rd place.

KSJC also had several students place in the field events.  Cindy Tran (25-11.00) and Michelle Diaz (22-10.00) placed 1st and 2nd in the Girls Shot Put!  Claire Hsu placed in two different events, earning 3rd in the Long Jump (13-06.75) and 1st place in the Triple Jump (28-02.00).  Madison Tlatenchi also placed 2nd in the Triple Jump, with a distance of 26-03.00.  Many other students contributed to the overall team result, and those can all be seen at the link below.  Congratulations ladies, and thank you to our fantastic seniors: Sharon Tran, Jessica Pham, Michelle Diaz, and Jo Canales!
