Nyesha Chavez gave Valley Christian fits, as she bagged four hits in KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack Varsity’s 16-13 victory on Tuesday. Chavez singled in the second, singled in the fourth, doubled in the fifth, and doubled in the sixth.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack Varsity collected 16 hits and Valley Christian had 13.

Valley Christian scored four runs in the seventh inning. Valley Christian batters contributing to the big inning included Simonson, S Victor, and #14, who all drove in runs.

Chavez earned the victory on the rubber for KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack Varsity. She lasted four innings, allowing 11 hits and ten runs while striking out seven.

M Dodson took the loss for Valley Christian. She surrendered 16 runs on 16 hits over seven innings, striking out 13.

Valley Christian stole 27 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Dodson led the way with eight.
